Stuffing Envelops for Money, the Hard Honest Facts

Are you looking for a part time business opportunity? Maybe you’re a college student needing some extra cash for food, or a stay at home mom wanting a little mad money. The Internet offers some great ways to get paid without going out to get a job, and most of them are scams.

Considering Envelop Stuffing?
Open up any newspaper or magazine and you’ll several get rich quick opportunities promising that you’ll earn big money just by stuffing envelop for big companies. The ad claims that companies are to busy to stuff envelops them, so they are willing to pay a total stranger to do the dirty task for them.

Let’s talk common sense here, what big corporation would pay a total stranger to stuff their mail? Most importantly, what company would pay $5 PER ENVELOP? Do you realize how much mail a big company sends out? If you stuffed 1500 envelops in one day, you’d be getting a 7500 dollar paycheck for one day’s worth.

Sounds to good to be true? Well, it is.

First of all it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to stuff envelops, and it sure doesn’t cost a lot of money to do so.
Second, many times these quick get rich with envelop stuffing schemes often require you to purchase a starter kit. What is the starter kit and what is included? The ad doesn’t say. Not only do you have to pay for a starter kit, but you also have to pay a ‘processing fee’ and a ‘good faith fee’ to as to prove your good faith and your commitment to the program.

Third, let’s pretend that you are getting paid to stuff envelops for a ‘big company’. Who exactly will you be stuffing envelops for? Microsoft? Or are you working for Johnny Scam-U that is using your address to mail his latest get-rich-quick scam to unsuspecting victims? Are you working with a legitimate company, or some con artist? The simple truth is, you never know.

Can You Make Money Stuffing Envelops?
Most companies use machines to stuff envelops, but the only way you might be able to make money stuffing envelops is as an employee of a company or a local print shop. Granted, you won’t make ‘big money’, but you might make barely over minimum wage.
