Get Paid to Search

How would you like to make money doing something you do every day?

A new website called Mahalo is willing to pay you money to do something you know how to do – search the internet.

Mahalo is a human-powered search engine that creates organized and comprehensive search results for the popular search terms. In essence it is a mix of Google, Wikipedia, and Squidoo all rolled into one.

Mahalo aims to incorporate the human element to search, based on a concept that there is a difference between human generated content and automated content in it’s ability to identify what is valuable to a web surfer and what is junk.

There are some paperwork you must fill out and send in to Mahalo in order to be paid. Before you can be paid for the accepted SeRPs you create, you must complete the Master SeRP Purchase Agreement (MSPA) and send it to Mahalo.com. You will not be paid for your work until we receive your Master SeRP Purchase Agreement completely and correctly filled out. You will also need to fill out tax information before you get paid.

Do They Pay?

From what I’ve been told, Mahalo is very strict in accepting search pages, but once they are accepted they pay their guides well.

Mahalo Greenhouse Guides are paid for the search results pages (SeRPs) they create that are accepted for use on the Mahalo.com website. Each search result page is paid at the rate stipulated on the Most Wanted List at the time of acceptance.

Mahalo Mentors and Mentor Directs are paid for the search results page they create. They are also compensated $10.00 for each reviewed search result page from Greenhouse Guides ranked PTG-New and PTG, and $5.00 for each reviewed SeRP from Greenhouse Guides ranked PTG-Plus.

3 Steps to Making A Lot Money Online

So, you want to make money online, eh? It’s not as easy as some folks make it out to be, you know.

Well, let me rephrase that…

It IS EASY make money online, but it takes HARD WORK in order for you to make enough money to quit your day job.

Do you honestly think you’re going to make some money by making a junk website filled with Adsense and banners? Seriously, you might make 10 cents — if you’re lucky.

If you are really serious about making big money online then you need a product then you need to promote that product. Sounds easy enough right?

Lets break down the process a bit more.

3 Steps to Making Money Online.

Step 1. Creating A Product

Info products are hot hot hot! I recommend you buy a PLR product from a trusted individual on forums and use what was taught inside. You don’t want to price your product to cheap, but at the same time you don’t want to charge an arm and a leg either. If you’re not willing to take the time to work hard, then you will not make more than a quarter online. Don’t be afraid to be a little different and think outside the box!

Simple Ways to Promote Your Affiliate Programs

While you were at 9 to 5 job today, some hot shot kid made over a grand promoting his affiliate program online. If only you could be that lucky!

Affiliate marketing is the hottest way to make money online these days. Many affiliate programs play between 30 ot 75% a sale!

I’m not saying Affiliate Marketing is easy by any means. It takes hard work and clever ‘outside of the box’ thinking.

Why is Affiliate Marketing so challenging for most? Many novices don’t know how to promote their product. If you’re having a hard time selling your product then remember this,

It’s not what your selling that’s necessarily the problem, it’s how your selling it.

Just like in real life marketing, affiliate marketing is really a numbers game. The more prospects that see your message, the more sales you will make. Don’t be fooled into thinking you can place one or two affiliate links here and become a millionaire overnight. How many cans of cola would Pepsi sell if they only aired two commercials a year?

There are some basic ways to promote your product online:

    • Free method of advertising, make sure you read the forum’s TOS first.
  • Email signatures
    • If you email a lot, using email signatures is a great way to generate interest in your product.

    • Writing and submitting articles can be a great way to get sales.
  • Classified Ads
    • A great way to advertise services or dating sites!
  • Purchase Banner/Text Ads on Popular Site
    • Can get pricey and shouldn’t be your only method of generating sales.

Of course, I’m sure you can can think of many other creative ways to promote your affiliate program. But the bottom line is that your goal is to get the word out to as many people as possible. The more people that are exposed to your message, the more sales and commission you will make!

Cashing In with Google Adsense

No doubt about it, Google Adsense is a very hot topic on forums, newsgroups, and ezines. Does it seem as if others are making a killing with Adsense each month except you? With all the people getting online and clicking away everyday, it is no wonder why Google Adsense has become an instant hit.

But how is it that some publishers are making $1000 paychecks each month, while you’re lucky to get $1 in clicks?

There is a simple formula to Google Adsense success.

Traffic + Content +Proper Ad Placement & Format= More Clicks & More Income $

1. Targeting high traffic is a very important factor in getting more clicks to your website. The more traffic, the more clicks….it’s really a numbers game.

Check on your stats. What are your daily impressions? What are your monthly impressions? Most importantly, what can you improve these numbers?

2. High Quality Content will help you improve your traffic stats. People surf the Internet to get free information. By providing quality content on your site, you are giving your visitors what they are looking for.

The key is to provide quality, targeted, and unique content. Never think that by copying and pasting articles from free article directories is enough to get by. Your best bet is to write your own articles or at least rewrite PLR articles.

3. Proper Ad Placement and Format can improve your click through rate. The biggest mistake I see with newbies is poor Google Adsense Ad placement and format.

Step back for a moment and look at your website through the eyes of your visitors.

What I’m trying to say here is that if you run a site based on low paying keywords, you won’t make a lot of Adsense revenue UNLESS you get A LOT of traffic.

The key to success with Adsense is the placing of ads on pages that are receiving high traffic for high demand keywords. The higher the cost-per-click to the advertiser, the more you will receive per click from your site. Obviously, it does not pay to target low cost-per-click keywords and place them on pages that do not receive hits.

Article Writing for People Who Hate To Write

I started an Adsense blog a couple months ago. I know that content is important for these kinds of sites, but the problem is that I hate writing articles. I tried using free articles from GoArticles.com, but it’s done nothing for my traffic. Well, plain and simple, if you own a website or blog you need fresh and unique content. Web surfers are visiting your site for one reason, and one reason only – free info.

Why is fresh content so important? Well for one thing, unique web content will improve your rankings in the search engines. Optimized content along with an optimized website will increase your chances to be indexed highly in the search engines for your given keyword phrase. So, web content can determine success or failure.

But what if you hate writing articles? Are there options?

Well, for starters if you hate writing articles and you can’t afford to hire people to write for you then you can always get free articles from article directories. However, the problem with article directories is that thousands of other web publishers might be using that same article and search engines such as Google can penalize you for using duplicate content.

To get around this you could try to add your own introduction to the article. While you are not allowed to alter the article in anyway, you can add a few sentences summarizing the article. For example say that you own a Dog website, and found a great reprint article on poodles. One way to get around duplicate content problem is by adding a short intro to the article:

How Can I Increase My Website’s Adsense CTR?

Do you want to maximize your Adsense revenue? Wonder why your click through rating is so low?

Many web publishers often wonder where they should insert Adsense Ads to maximize their click through rate (CTR). To be honest, it all depends on the site and the content. For example, what kind of a website do you own? Where is your visitor’s attention focused?

I know it’s common these days, but you REALLY you don’t want the ads to get in the user’s way. For example, one of the most annoying places to put Adsense is right in the middle of your content It is common these days for webmasters to place adds in the middle of their content or the middle of a story.

But think about it this way, how many times have you been watching a great TV show and all of the sudden, during the best part of the show, they break to a commercial. If you have a DVR, you simply fast forward over the commercials to finish the show.

Now, imagine your readers. You’ve written a really fascinating article and placed an Adsense ad right in the middle of your content. The chances that your reader will just ‘scroll’ over the ads to finish reading your content is high, isn’t it?

Google themselves have offered a few suggestions regarding maximum ad placement. The following heat map illustrates ideal placements of Adsense Ads on a sample layout. The colors fade from dark orange to light yellow (Strong Orange = Strongest Ad Performance and Light Yellow = Weak Ad performance).

Now, all other things being equal, ad placements above the fold tend to perform better than those below the fold. Ads placed near rich content and navigational aids usually do well because users are focused on those areas of a page.

While this heat map can be a useful guide to positioning your Adsense Ads, you should experiment. Look at your site through the eyes of a visitor.
