How do I get my internet to let other computers connect wirelessly?

I have a speedstream 6520 modem and cannot get the internet connection to show up on other computers while searching for a connection. I am definantally close enough to it because I have tried it with my laptop right next to my speedstream 6520. It can only pick up the neighbours signal.

There are instructions on how to set up a wireless connection on that modem on this page. http://www.orcon.net.nz/support/page/create_a_wireless_network_with_your_siemens_speedstream_6520_wireless_modem

Try changing the security settings of your connection . You can do that by doing the following :
1- type your default IP in your browser.
2- enter the username and password .
3- check the settings in the page will open.

Do you have your modem set up, to where it is password protected?
If so then the other computers in the house must have the "key" to be able to access your modem.

Also the other computers must have a wireless card or a device plugged into their computers to allow them to receive the wireless signal from your modem.
