eBays fees are dependent on two things. Listing costs and commission.

There are established charges for an eBay listing. The more complex the listing, the more the cost. If you have a simple listing, text, no pictures, no reserve, no starting bid, that would be the cheapest. But add pictures, put in a background, pay for premium listing, add a reserve, put the starting bid at something more then minimal amount, and that costs more. As you build your listing, eBay will keep a running total of what it will cost to list your item, and you have the option to review that cost, and change your listing appropriately before you incur any charges.

The listing fees you have to pay even if your item does not sell.

Now, the commission. eBay takes a small cut of the selling price of the item. That percentage will also vary based on the selling price, and what type of seller you are. Heard of power sellers? They pay a lower price then the average seller because of the high volume of stuff they sell.

I really recommend that you review the cost section of the eBay help pages. The commission costs will be laid out on those pages. To determine how much it will cost to list your item, I recommend making the listing. Play around with the options, and find out what a listing will cost. You can always cancel the listing before finalizing it, no cost, and it is a great learning opportunity.

Best of luck!
