Check out http://www.onlywire.com/ for starters.

Do some keyword research to see what legal terms are searched for the most, and which are relevant to what you write about. Then write articles about what people want to read about.

That's a really short list, but you can also pay to get people to your site with Yahoo! Search Marketing or Google AdWords or Enhance or Miva or Search123...if you want to go that route.

Hope that helps.
References :
I think you are heading in the right direction because you have some pretty good content on the blog. My recommendation would to be keep blogging and the traffic will come. I would also think that attorneys will continue to hit your blog because of the content. Good luck with the blog....
References :
Wow Isabel, that's a great answer - some good resources there.

Don, I checked your blog and the one thing that jumps out at me, there's no call to action to contact you. And even if I spontaneously decided to contact you for legal marketing help, I couldn't find an obvious way to do that!

Why not change your "about me" section to read something like this:

About Me
Name: Donald Imm
Location: Baltimore, Maryland, US

Specialist in (practice development / revenue growth / lead generation etc) for (small firms / large firms / specialty firms / etc). For a free case study, "How a 4-lawyer firm increased billings from $1,270,000 to $4,344,000 in 12 months, call 800-333-3333 and leave your information on the message"

Of course, you'll need to work out the specifics, but you get the idea.

Good luck,
Scott
