Wanting to build a site similar to yahoo answers any ideas?

I want to build a website like yahoo answers but with some cool features and stuff. Does anyone have any ideas or advice for me when doing this? What kind of feature(s) would you enjoy to have? What would you look for in the site? Thank you everyone in advance for your time and help.

Off the top of my head it would be nice if there was a feature that showed potentially similar answers when you are about to ask a questions (just in case your question is already answered).
It would be nice if there was a way to attach comments to other answers (stating why it was a good/bad idea).
It would be nice if when you asked a question you could force people to reference their answers (so you don’t just get personal opinion).

    Hi,
I’d recommend using WordPress with a forum plug-in off the top of my head unless you’re looking to code a lot. You’d be able to take advantage of other WordPress plug-ins to include other cool stuff with the site. I’ve included a good WordPress plug-in article to get you started if you want to go this route in the sources of the answer.

    1. Don’t even THINK of using ANY kind of "web design IDE" to do it: you will have to code it by hand, and that’s going to take time and require a lot of skills.
    2. YA has too many useless features (look at that spell checker!) that slow down the exchange for no advantage whatsoever.
    3. YA lacks some important features, like the possibility of adding an IMAGE reply (think of maths, physics, astronomy, schematics, asking for the name of a font, etc) Allowing the upload of a (small) img would be a nice way to answer some questions.
    4. Limit it to Questions and Answers: too many scorings that do not really help, but lead to "point gaming" etc…

Actually, really limiting to Q&As would be my best desire, but don’t fall into "forum style".
