My husband and I would really like to start an online business. We don’t want to sign up for someone else’s business and get into a scam. My husband is an IT Tech and anything dealing with computers he can do, including building webpages. Any ideas on what type of online business we could start? We don’t have alot of money to invest. Anyone started the own online business and made a decent extra income, or even better made their full income? Again nothing like online mystery shopper, survey taker, etc. We want to build our’s from scratch
two guy’s in my town just started a web site. It’s actually doing very well for them. It’s a yard sale web site. Where people from the town can take pictures and post things for sale ( yard sale prices) and other people in the town can go on the web site and purchase the item. THe guy’s who started the site just charge people $8.00 a month to post their items. It’s kind of like e-bay but they don’t take a percentage of what you make. Here is the web site address, take a look at it.

Before you can determine what kind of online business to start, there are a few questions you should answer.
1. Why are you starting an online business? Is it (a) Spend more time with family? (b) Live Debt Free? (c) Travel more, more vactions? (d) Have more control over your future? (e) Tired of community?
2. What are your skills (beyond IT). Online marketing requires the development and use of many skills including: Marketing, website design, traffic generation, seo, etc.
Also note, that not every Affiliate Program is a scam. Most are legitimate and have created full-time incomes for thousands of online marketers (including myself).
This is especially important since you’ve stated that you have limited money to invest in a business.
Basically there are three ways to make money online:
1. Create Your Own Product/Service – Digital or Other
2. Sell Other People’s Stuff – Affiliate Programs, CPA
3. Sell Advertising – Adsense, Banners, Text Ads
The easiest of course is Selling O.P.S.

I have worked full-time from home doing transcription for national companies (NOT medical transcription). So if either of you are a fast typist and good with grammar, you may want to consider it for part of your income anyway. You can read all about how I got started on my website at:

On my site I have an ebook on how I’ve done it, as well as a page on the legitimate transcription companies that I know are out there. Good luck!

This is by far the easiest and best opportunity out there. Dont let people like the Maverik Money Guy hype up opportunities that dont work for the common person. Check out this website, it really changed my life.
