I don’t understand why these scumbag loser so-called hacker types set up viruses to invade or harm other peoples computers. Does that make them feel good ruining another persons computer for no good reason. Do you think these people should go to jail, get beat up or lose their computer privileges forever?
DUDE THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS QUESTION. SOMEONE FINALLY UNDERSTANDS MY FEELINGS FOR NO LIFE INTERNET HACKERS!!.
Lol, but idk why though. They actually get paid, well at least the popular virus groups do. See what they do is make an up-to-date virus and try to infect others and then microsoft or some anti-virus company notices it and they usually pay them money if they cannot fix it. Kinda weird right?
Nonetheless, those computer-hacking douches piss me da hell off.

well thats so they can still identitys and stuff like that and thats how they feed their famlys

Because they are friggin losers. Nerds that are in their thirties and have never had sex with anyone other than their hand, so they take their aggression out on others that way.

Infecting computers with malware is a full blown underground business. It’s no-longer carried out by nerds in their garage.
There is lots of profit to be made by stealing IDs, credit card info, passwords, etc.
Don’t get me wrong, some nerds still mess with people, but the majority of the junk out there is made by malware professionals.

Recently, several US and South Korean computer sites were taken down by what is called a denial of service attack. More specifically it was a distributed denial of service attack since multiple computers were used in the attacks. The main purpose was to embarrass the respective countries or simply a display of power from what I’ve gathered from various news reports. So far they are blaming a government backed computer warfare group in North Korea for the problem. Far from being just some misguided wannabe hackers or script kiddies.
Programs capable of doing this sort of thing are not virus programs. They are more typically Trojan horse programs, worms or bot programs that are controlled by other computers. A recent example might be the Conficker worm.
Other programs such as the ones that reset your home page to another page and generally cause problems actually benefit from those programs. They make money because your infected computer keeps accessing some web page and they are getting paid for those hits. It is most likely a professional that did this bit of programming. The Cool Web Search stuff evolved from something easy to remove into some really nasty stuff and thanks to a "hacker" we got a really nice program called HijackThis that is a good tool in combating a number of malware infections.
Malware does not generally ruin computers. In fact, since many of the programs these days are after some level of control over the computer, it would be a really bad idea to ruin the computer if it is even possible. Destroying the data on a hard drive or even deleting all the files on a hard drive does not "ruin" the computer. It simply causes it to be inoperable. Restoring the files or re-installing the operating system returns the computer to operational status.
As you should have seen by now, there are several possible reasons for malware. They may not be good reasons in your view, but they are reasons. And yes, it probably does make them feel good.
I believe criminals should be punished. To punish a criminal, you first have to find them and go through the legal process before there is even a chance they will go to jail or lose computer privileges.
Beating up a kid who probably knows less than you might think because he is running a malware program is a pretty stupid thing to do. After all, that would make you a criminal and you’d likely be the one going to jail. Even worse if you are an adult.
Loss of computer privileges happens after being prosecuted. A rather well known "hacker" wasn’t even allowed to answer his own email for many years. So it can and does happen to computer criminals.
I suggest you do some research into the "hacker types" since there are several versions. It might help if you knew more about what a "hacker" really is.
