I am an Avon rep. I choose Avon because the start up cost is only $10. And you can sell on the internet, which allows your customers to have the products shipped directly to them. This lets me sell across the country, plus I don’t have to keep any inventory. I know a lot of people without a lot of money and Mary Kay is too expensive for most of my friends. Your wife should evaluate the kind of people she will be selling to and how much she actually wants to invest into startup costs. Hi, I have done Mary Kay and Avon, they are great opportunities for the right person. Neither one of them worked for me as you have to LOVE the product in order to be able to sell it effortlessly. After trying numerous others, I finally found a company where every product is like a dream come true, and introducing it to future clients is something that does not scare me. (I am an Independent Consultant for Arbonne International) My suggestion is to try the products, find the products that you absolutely LOVE. Talking with other consultants who are selling what you want to sell is the easiest to make a decision. Which ever you decide to do, keep in mind that you need to BECOME A PART OF THE PRODUCT.

I’ve been in Mary Kay for about 6 mts. I have a husband and 3 kids (3 yrs, 10mts, and I’m 33 weeks pregnant). No one made me join, I joined because I love all the free prizes and all my Mary Kay sisters. There is no multilevel marketing, because no one makes a portion of what I make. Do I have people call me to see how I’m doing? Yes, but no one is telling me to sell, sell, sell. Mary Kay truly believes in faith first, family second, and your career thrid and I love that. I think your wife would love it for the positive women and she would have the ability to make make 50% of what she sells in addition to a free car! I can get excited about that!
