Is it illegal to play real money poker online with UK based websites?

I heard that last year they were going to make it illegal for US citizens to play REAL MONEY online with overseas websites. is this true? did it ever go through?

I have been on the online gambling scene in awhile.
Does anybody have any info to back this up? really would like to know before i start playing again.

It has always been illegal to play online poker for real money in the US. They just do not enforce it at all. The law passed in 2006 was about the money transfers, they figured instead of trying to stop millions of us from doing it. It would be easier to stop the banks from funding them. It’s a little more difficult to find a site and make a deposit now. It may take you up to 2 minutes to get it done now. So play on!

As for the UK sites I think most of them have stopped taking american players because of the new law.

Some websites offer listings of paid marketing surveys as a way to make money online … are they for real?

I’m looking for a way to make a little extra money online.

I found several websites that offer "updated/ current" listings of market research companies that will pay for completed product surveys and participation in focus groups.

These sites cost about fifty bucks ,one time, to become a member, is it worth it? Can I really make some money, or is it just a scam?

Please answer if you have experience in this area, and let me know the pros and cons and details. If this is a real possibility then pls tell me the most reputable/reliable website to join.

Or, explain another way.

The rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys.

Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics — e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old — and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey — you’re definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.

Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don’t earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

Make REAL money online and do it free?

so yea blah blah blah i have seen tons of people post that they can make money online, i dont really need a lot of extra money but when i am bored i get curious IS IT POSSIBLE!? So i am asking someone…ANYONE to post on here how to really make true, real money and have it in your hand!! So if a real person can give me a website or a link or even a how to on how to do such a thing i would be very interested to read. I really dont believe there is a way to make money online, because people post they can but then it takes 4000 hours just to get into a website and then you dont make money, you just get crap mail. So i would love to hear of a real person witness who made real money.

The majority of online jobs are low pay. Minimum wage is what you get. After taxes are taken out, your take home is below minimum wage. A lot of work involved. It’s true real money, just not a lot.
What type of online work can you do? What are your qualifications. these are two factors that will be the decision factor of receiving a low paying online job. Some home jobs require you to have a curtain internet connection speed, head sets, speakers etc. If you don’t have these items or your DSL isn’t up to their standards, guess what, you have to go purchase that, spend money to make minimum wage. Is that worth it??
The bottom line is, the only way to make any "real money" like you ask, doing online work is start an online business. Two ways to go about it. One start up your own gig, sale your own thing, make your own web site and spend a lot of time and hours and money setting it all up and advertising and getting your web site out there. The other way is by collaborating with a direct selling company rather it’s a product or a service that they provide and go about that way.

When collaborating with a business to have a business within a business, you have no over head costs like a business on your own has. You have the same income opportunity as they do. Understand that it’s a business not a job. Having cash on hand depends solely on what you do and how you build your business. If you don’t work your business, you won’t "have it in your hand". There are ways to make money on line, but it will require you to put some effort into it and utilize any tools you have and "work" your business. If your not willing to do that and are lazy, it won’t work for you and you won’t have cash in your hand per say. A lot of work in volved, nothing strenuous, just honest time and effort.
